How Much Aristotle is Too Much?

I have officially made it through the first three days of summer school. We are slowly making our painstaking way through Aristotle's "Poetics." Mind you, this is not a bad thing for a theatre student, especially a playwright to be familiar with, but there comes a point when it's too much. I have spent a lot of time studying the "Poetics" in many classes previous to this - I think I get it already! I do have to admit though, that no one has been as thorough as this prof - we go sentence by sentence. Of course, there are undergrads in this class, and I know he wants to be sure that they all understand it, but seriously? I think I've reached my Aristotle limit. The good thing is this is a summer class and so we're getting through it much faster. The pain will soon be over. On the flip side, I will now be so familiar with the "Poetics" that I will definitely be able to explain them to somoeone else, should that topic ever come up in conversation. LOL.
