Boredom is Seriously Overrated!

Okay. I'm bored. School is done until summer school starts, all of my friends have left town for a while, and I am freakishly bored out of my skull. Yes, I've caught up on my magazine reading which only made me more bored because I won't be going anywhere exciting this summer, and have managed to make a plan for completing my PhD in a timely fashion, but still. There are only so many movies I can watch (thanks Netflix) and so many books I can read before I go stir crazy! I don't know enough people in Lubbock yet to just go hang out with, and I still don't know much about what's here. Maybe that will be my mission this summer - discover Lubbock attractions. I have been to the Buddy Holly Center which was pretty awesome and went to the annual Art Festival which was interesting, but that's about the extent of it. Haven't found the right coffee house yet and still have no idea where the movie theater is. I know they have one. Have to figure that out before Harry Potter arrives in theaters later this summer. Once school starts I'll be okay, but for right now I'm feeling not only bored, but a little depressed. I wish I was in Prague with the people who went on the study abroad trip. Oh well, I'll just have to figure out my own way to not be bored. Any ideas?
